DD Ranch in Santa Fe, owned and run by my dear friends, the multi-talented and beyond-gracious Maxine Lapiduss and Hillary Carlip, is a truly magical place with awesome views, delicious food, cool and inviting decor, and the warmest proprietors on the planet. On my first destination workshop, participants gathered around a bonfire, processed, wrote and workshopped in the prettiest barn you’ve ever seen, met the animals, including Clyde the bison, bought some silver at the cowboy store, saw the fairy tree in bloom and experienced the healing, restorative vibes! This issue of Lit Angels showcases some of the moving writing, often around the theme of trauma, that was produced, pretty much as it appears here, during the retreat weekend.
